hi i ,have 6 tropheus ikola and i found one today upside down dead as a dodo. they are looking fine and eat well so the only thing is one of them today is hanging out in the top of the water no marks on him , he looks ok. any idears as to whats wrong?

now i can see wats wrong one of them is breething very fast so maybe he has some parasites in the gils?

Don´t think it´s parasites.
To much waste in the water, exchange 40% of the water.
There need to be movement in the watersurface to make oxygen. Very importent.

Have you checked the water, for nitrit? oxigen(ilt)?
Are they blowded?(fat) and do they have normal poop(afføring)?

hi juys i changed the water 50% today and gonna put a pack of salt 800 gr in this 325 soon the other one didn't survive the night eo

hmm mate , do they have ok with air ?
i mean if the fish is in the top of the water and its breathing like hell , maybe thats the prob ?

no no the ilt is ok and its only one fish at a time that feels bad and breeth fast and looks like its side fins neer the gils well one is closedalways 🙁

Hi Eli,
You did not answer the questions raised in #6.
Anyway - if the sick fish appears bloated (fat) and refuses to eat (with or without thread-thin faeces hanging like a tail after the fish), your fish is most likely down with an infection which eventually will kill all tropheus in your tank - one by one.
Check the private message board - there's a mesage for you.
